Tools for Leak Locator Services
McCalman Plumbing
has many tools available to help with slab leak locator and repair. High technology detection equipment enables your McCalman master plumber to locate the source of the overflow before cutting into any wall or floor so that you no longer have to fear extensive damage to your walls and floors while your technician searches for the source of your overflow problem.
Listening Device
Amplifies the sound coming from a line discharge. A microphone on the floor relays the sound to the plumber's headphones. This device can detect sound through walls, cabinets, and concrete.
Camera
Sends pictures from inside the pipe to an above ground monitor. Plumber feeds the camera mounted on a fiber optic cable into the suspected pipe which allows views of suspect lines that cannot be seen through the floor.
Pipe Freezer
Cylinders of CO2 or Nitrogen are used by our plumber to blasts areas of pipe to freeze the fluid and cut off flow above the problem area. This allows correction of the problem without draining the system.
